Dudamel Fellowship

From the Sulivan Sweetland Press Release:

We are delighted to announce that Swiss-Australian conductor, Elena Schwarz, has been appointed to the Dudamel Fellowship programme for the 2018-19 season.  The Fellowship is an opportunity to further develop her craft and enrich her musical experience through personal mentorship from Gustavo Dudamel and participation in the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra’s concerts, educational and community programmes.

Her appointment sees her conduct performances of Brahms Symphony No 1 as part of the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s “Symphonies for Youth” and she will participate as cover conductor working with Gustavo Dudamel, Daniel Harding, Susanna Mälkki, Ludovic Morlot, John Adams and Michael Tilson-Thomas amongst others and serve as mentor through participation with the Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles.

About her appointment Elena Schwarz commented: “I’m truly honoured to have been awarded this opportunity to work alongside Gustavo Dudamel, visiting artists, and the musicians of the LA Philharmonic. I look forward to learning and being inspired by their wonderful music making.”
