Awarded a special distinction from the Geneva University of Music

The Geneva University of Music has just announced the school’s first special distinction, awarded to alumni conductor Elena Schwarz during a ceremony to mark the 15 years of the union of the canton’s Universities of Applied Sciences.

From the speech of M. Philippe Dinkel, director of the Geneva University of Music: “A graduate of the conducting class and co-founder of new ensembles, Elena Schwarz is a prize-winner at international competitions. She is equally active in the collaborations between the Geneva University of Music and the Edward Said Conservatory, and demonstrates an insatiable interest for all domains of artistic creation.”
